The Hiser Element methodology

The Hiser Element™ methodology is our tried-and-tested method of gathering business and customer requirements and translating them into easy-to-use designs and effective online experiences.

What we do

The process takes place over three phases:

  • Observe and Analyse – we begin by identifying your goals and your customers' needs, and analysing how the workflow will operate.

    We spend carefully-targeted time working with you and your customers to ensure we fully understand your requirements, objectives and goals, and to lay the groundwork for a successful project.
  • Envision and Design – we develop a menu structure for the site or application, and create several design concepts showing the home page or main screen, and some second-level pages or screens.

    We use paper mockups of these designs, because they’re very easy to change and it’s cost-effective to produce as many iterations as we need to reach a good design solution. Effort and cost are lower because you ensure that you will build the right solution early in the development process.
  • Evaluate and Refine – in detailed design sessions with representative users, we get detailed feedback on how real users would use the site or application doing real tasks. We refine the design and the menu structure and then run more sessions with users, until the design meets your business goals and your users' needs.

    We also create visual concepts to make your site look great and match your branding, while supporting easy navigation and use. We can help you with your content needs as well.
